As we head back into in-person ministry, we don’t want to operate out of fear, but we do want to ensure the safety of all students while they are under our care on a Wednesday night. We understand there are differing opinions on the efficiency of masks but, to do our best to respect the recommendations from our government authorities and provide the safest possible environment for our students, all adult volunteers will be required to wear masks during programming until further notice. If this is something you feel as though you cannot do (due to health concerns, personal convictions or otherwise) we ask that you schedule a time to talk with Tucker Kelly before serving. You can email him at tucker.kelly@scottshill.org.

However, there are certain times in the night when it is acceptable for adult volunteers to remove their masks…be sure to thoroughly review all COVID-19 rules (below) to understand our volunteer requirements.

Masks

ACTIVITY CENTER:

All adult volunteers must keep their mask on while in the activity center, properly having them over their mouth and nose.

CAFE:

All Cafe volunteers must keep masks and gloves on at all times when dealing with and serving food - changing out gloves when appropriate. Non-cafe adult volunteers will only be allowed to take off their mask in the cafe area if they are seated at a table and social distanced from others for the purpose of eating or drinking.

AUDITORIUM:

All adult volunteers must wear masks as they enter into the auditorium. Once they are in the auditorium and are seated they are allowed to remove their masks. If there is a night where chairs are not set-up, volunteers can remove their masks for worship times once all students are in the room and leaders are standing 6ft away from others.

SMALL GROUP SPACES:

While transitioning to/from small group spaces, leaders must have their masks on. Once the leader is seated in their small group space, 6ft away from their students, they will be allowed to remove their mask.

TRNASITIONING TIMES:

During times of transition between ministry spaces or while leaving a ministry space to use the restrooms, adult volunteers must be wearing masks.

Wrist Bands

All students will receive a paper wristband as they enter into the CPC. These wrist band will help adult leaders and other students identify what peoples comfortability is in being approached with or without a mask on. (See the graphic below for clarification)  *Social distancing is still required despite wristband color *

Sanitization & Social Distancing

SANITIZING:

All ministry areas will be professionally sanitized before and after weekly programming but cafe team members should continue to sanitize the cafe area throughout the night. All adult volunteers should be diligent to thoroughly wash their hands and use hand sanitizer throughout programming.

TOUCHLESS CHECK-INS:

Welcome team volunteers will be the only ones allowed to touch the iPads to check in students to limit the amount of germs that could be passed through students individually checking themselves in. Any volunteer that is helping students put on wristbands needs to be wearing gloves. All adult volunteers should be diligent in refraining from high-fiving students as they enter into the CPC or enter the auditorium for the time being.

SOCIAL DISTANCING:

Adult volunteers should be the key examples and enforcers of social distancing while students are in our building. This means maintaining 6ft distance from students and other leaders and refraining from any kind of physical contact with students such as high-fives, handshakes, hugs, etc.
