Creating the Digital EXPERIENCE

July 19-21, 2021

          Every summer, we seek to provide our students with the opportunity to serve and love on our community and surrounding areas by engaging their hearts to interact with the needs of others. Over the past seven years, we have done this by serving the Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina. Our heart has been to reach every home in the state and invite them to take part in a summer camp for their students (who don't usually get afforded the opportunity for such camps) free of charge to them! Our students pay their way and also staff the camp by leading out different areas such as teachings, games, and production. We see so much value in this trip because our students are learning to interact with peers and leading alongside one another, as well as emulating the character of Jesus by loving the least of these. This year we will be continuing with a Digital Mountain Camp experience. Transitioning to a Digital Mountain Camp experience for 2020 was a huge success and we believe the Lord is going to use it in even greater ways for the spreading of the gospel in 2021.

        We will be staying on campus and due to the limited space for sleeping arrangements & serving opportunities, we are limiting our spots available for this mission opportunity to 50 students, so sign up soon! This trip will be open for High School students, included graduated seniors. This does include rising 9th graders. We want students to be apart of this experience and learn what it looks like to be a light to those in need, even through digital platforms!

          We have some pretty important due dates and preparation meetings to get us ready for our trip! Our registration will begin on May 20th and end on June 23th. Our first official training will be June 27th at 1:30pm.

          Please carve this time out as a priority if you are planning to be apart of this mission experience. At these meetings we will be communicating crucial information about the trip, expectations, deadlines and due dates for important documents and trip requirements.

The training on June 27th is mandatory. Each team will be required to meet at least twice more between June 27th and July 19th. Team leaders will decide and communicate additional training times.
