WEDNESDAY, MAY 20th
Our last Youth Group night of the year is our “Senior Commissioning Night” This is a time when all of our graduating seniors pass on their wisdom to the younger middle school and high school students. To make this happen, we want you to prepare to answer these questions to share with the rest of the youth group on May 20th.
What practical advice can you give to other students about:
-Choosing your friends
-Dating
-Talking with your parents
How has being committed to your small group impacted your walk with Christ over the past years?
If you could tell your middle school self one thing (or one encouragement), what would it be?
What is a truth from God’s word that you have held on to, or learned during your time in student ministry?
Beginning Friday, May 22nd and concluding Sunday, May 24th we will spend a weekend sending off our Seniors in style!
Senior weekend is a 4 part event.
PART 1
SENIOR LUAU DINNER
Senior Luau Dinner is a time for families to eat dinner, have fun, and pray over their seniors as they transition into the next season of life.
RSVP and meet us in the Cross Point Center Auditorium at 6:30p, May 22nd.
PART 2
SENIOR LOCK-IN
Seniors and small group leaders will sleep at the church over night, play games and have fun as a group following the Luau!
Seniors who plan to attend the trip to Charlotte should plan to be apart of the lock-in as we will be leaving early Saturday morning!
PART 3
CHARLOTTE OVERNIGHT
We’ll be heading to Charlotte, NC for a fun-packed day of rafting, climbing, zip-lining and exploring the city! Registration per student is $150 and includes the cost of the whitewater rafting center, transportation, and lodging. Cost of food not included.
PART 4
CHURCH @ TC
Sunday morning takes no breaks. We will head to Transformation Church’s 10am service. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to see a different and diverse church. It also sparks great conversation about what to look for in a church as many of them are heading to a new area!
Using the registration link, students are welcome to sign-up for 1 or more of these events. We’d love for you to hang with us the whole time, but understand if you can only attend certain parts of the Send-Off weekend.
If you have any further questions, be sure to reach out to students@scottshill.org
